‘90 Day Fiancé’: Big Move Coming For Jenny and Sumit Amid ALS Diagnosis
90 Day Fiancé fans have followed Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh through a lot in their love story. This even includes Jenny recently opening up about her ALS diagnosis over the past few months. Recently, someone close to the couple has also revealed big news concerning them on social media.
Jenny Slatten’s Daughter Recently Shared News About Her & Sumit Singh On Instagram
Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh are a couple who became known to fans through the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, particularly 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. As documented on the show, the two connected online in 2012, though Sumit initially used an alias before revealing himself. In spite of an age difference and coming from different cultures, the two secretly married in 2021.
Back in May, Jenny revealed that she had been diagnosed with ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, back in December. Experiencing symptoms in 2024, she noted that the progression was slow at the time.
Recently, Jenny’s daughter, Christina, shared an update about the couple on Instagram. While the two are currently living in India, it’s been shared that Jenny is planning to return to the United States to get treatment for her condition. In addition, Sumit has applied for a visa to come to the country alongside her.
In her Instagram reel, Christina shared, “I wanted to let you guys know that we have started the visa process for Sumit. “We’ve started the visa process for Sumit to come to the US to bring my mom so that she can come here and get more treatment using her insurance.”
Christina Also Shared That She Would Share Later Updates About The Process
As Christina explained, keeping Sumit and Jenny together has become a necessity for her medical treatment. She shared, “The doctors have told her she cannot travel alone because it’s such a long flight, [so] Sumit has become her full-time caregiver as her husband.”
For the time being, Christina is going to keep her current plans of travelling to India to be with them for the time being. She continued, “I will most likely be coming back with them. I just want to be there to assist them and make sure that everything goes smoothly, not only for my mom, but for Sumit as well.”
Christina also made clear that Sumit was applying for an emergency spousal visa and not a green card. She explained, “We have applied for an emergency tourist spousal visa, not for a green card, only for a tourist visa. It’s a lot longer of a process to try to get a green card, especially right now. They’re not making it easy for anyone, so we’re going the tourist route.”
Ultimately, Christina assured, “We are going to try our damnedest to get Sumit here with my mom. So, stay tuned because we will be speaking to you guys more on that process, sharing it with you and letting you guys know.”
