9-1-1 is FOX’s popular TV series that follows the heroic firefighters, paramedics and other emergency personnel at the Los Angeles Fire Department’s fictional Station 118 in Los Angeles, California. Created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear, the procedural drama premiered in January 2018 and wrapped up its sixth season. The show stars Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds, Jennifer Love Hewitt and more.

The show aired its first six seasons on FOX, but it was canceled by the network and later picked up by ABC. As we wait for the show to return amid the ongoing Hollywood strikes, we’ve rounded up the real-life families of your favorite 9-1-1 stars below, including Bassett, Krause and more.

9-1-1 lead Angela Bassett is married to her husband and fellow actor Courtney B. Vance (Law & Order, Scandal, Revenge, The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story). The pair got married on October 12, 1997, and had fraternal twins, Bronwyn Golden Vance and Slater Josiah Vance, in January 2006, via surrogate.

When asked if her kids (now 16 years old) will follow in her acting footsteps, she responded, “They want to follow the success, but whether it be acting, I don’t get any clues to that right now,” Bassett told People in January 2023. “It’s a little music, a little sports. But whatever they want to do, I support them.”

Peter Krause has one son with his ex-girlfriend Christine King, Roman Krause, who was born in November 2001. Not much is known about Krause and King’s relationship or why they split. But we do know that Krause’s most recent ex-girlfriend, Lauren Graham, helped raise Roman during their relationship when they all lived together for many years.

In the actress’ 2022 memoir, Have I Told You This Already? Stories I Don’t Want to Forget to Remember, she shared that despite her breakup with Krause, she hopes that Roman will “be a part of the rest of [her] life.” She also says in the book, according to People: “I’ve never been a mom, but I have loved a child who lived in my house for a long time.”
