Another Love Island 2024 Couple Splits: Is the Pressure Too Much?

Did you see this coming?

Love Island 2024 ended less than a month ago, but Grace Jackson and Reuben Collins together have officially broken up.

Both Grace and Reuben arrived as bombshells this year, with Grace initially coupling up with Joey Essex, and Reuben having eyes for Uma Jammeh. But after Joey recoupled with Jessy, and Uma left with Wil, the pair explored their connection, making it all the way to the final week – before being dumped by the general public.

In their exit interviews, both the model, 25, and footballer, 23, shared their happiness at finding each other, with Grace sharing what was next for their relationship, “We are going to take every day as it comes but I’m going to go down to Surrey and he’s also planning to visit me in Manchester.

“I can’t wait for us to have date night and meet the rest of each other’s families. We are in a really good place and love being around each other so I’m excited to see where things go for us.”

But sadly, it wasn’t to be. The Sun broke the news on 19th August with a report which read, “Grace and Reuben have come to the mutual decision a romantic relationship isn’t right for either of them at this time.

“Grace wishes Reuben all the best and vice versa. They will remain friends and have no bad feelings towards each other. They have both been very busy since leaving the villa and the long distance has been difficult for both of them.”

Then, Reuben spoke out to MailOnline to confirm the news, explaining, “I can’t speak for her, but since we came out it has been quite busy and there’s a lot to deal with. And for myself, before I went in we were caring for my grandad who was living with us as he had a terminal cancer. When I came out I had a week with him before he passed.

“So coming out and dealing with the new environment and dealing with the stuff at home, there was a lot going on and we were both very busy. I’m quite mentally strong and try to remain as positive as possible but coming back, I’ve had a lot to deal with.’

“We’ve both been very busy and with the long distance it was difficult. I wish her all the best, she wishes me all the best. There are no bad feelings. We had a great experience together.”

Here’s to hoping both Grace and Reuben are doing OK!
