Rebecca Lobo predijo el éxito de Caitlin Clark: descubre cómo se está cumpliendo

Lobo predicted that Clark would rise to the occasion in the WNBA.

After Caitlin Clark concluded her record-setting collegiate career earlier this year, some questioned whether her brilliance would translate to the WNBA.

Not Rebecca Lobo.

The WNBA legend made a now-prescient prediction about Clark’s impact in her rookie season, which has resurfaced as the Indiana Fever rookie has matched the high expectations. Lobo wrote in February that Clark will rise to the level of her competition in the WNBA, jumping into MVP consideration.

“If @CaitlinClark22 gets drafted to the @IndianaFever this summer, I believe she will put up MVP-caliber numbers as a rookie,” Lobo shared in a post on X. “While her opponents will be at a different skill level than in college, her teammates will be at another level as well. Her game translates.”

Clark is averaging 17.8 points and a league-best 8.3 assists per game. While Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson remains the MVP frontrunner, Clark has gained consideration — and Lobo’s prediction is earning some new praise.

An account on X known as the Clark Report re-shared Lobo’s original post, pointing out that she got plenty of hate for it at the time.

“Rebecca Lobo correctly predicted the future about Caitlin Clark and got COOKED for it at the time,” the post read. “Reading the replies to her tweet now is crazy”

Lobo has shared more praise for Clark throughout the WNBA season, saying in July that the Fever rookie is the best passer in the league right now.
