“90 Day Fiancé” heartbreak: Jenny Slatten is reportedly losing her ability to speak amid her battle with ALS, while she and Sumit desperately seek help with his visa. Now the couple faces a painful race against time.

90 Day Fiancé star Jenny Slatten is losing her ability to speak as her ALS progresses. She and husband Sumit Singh are pleading with fans for help securing him a U.S. visa so the couple can travel together for treatment.

In a new video, Jenny managed only a few words: “No, I can’t talk.” She won’t leave for treatment in America without Sumit, and his visa still hasn’t come through.

The couple wants to come to the U.S. for treatment they say they can’t get in India, but Sumit’s visa hasn’t been approved. Jenny won’t go without him, worried that if her condition worsened she might not be able to return, and that they could “be apart forever.”

“Unfortunately, the ALS is progressing and now it’s starting [to show] more in her talk, like, it’s hard for her to talk now,” Sumit said. He added that the disease is taking strength from her spine and neck, making it harder for her to balance while walking.

Jenny, 68, and Sumit, 38, debuted on “The Other Way” in 2019. They learned of her diagnosis in December 2025, a year after she first choked while drinking water. ALS is a fatal, progressive disease that attacks nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, and there’s no cure.

Now they’re asking fans to connect them with an immigration lawyer or specialist who could help. Sumit pointed to fellow “90 Day Fiancé” star Armando Niedermeier-Rubio, who was granted entry to the U.S. this July after publicly asking for help with an emergency medical travel visa.

Back in May, Jenny put it simply: “I don’t want to be treated any different. Let’s just live our life as we have been while we can.”
