Love Island 2024 viewers charmed by date-crasher

Love Island viewers were enamoured with one new entry to the villa, who happened to crash one of the dates.
Thursday’s (July 25) episode saw the remaining five couples – Josh & Mimii, Joey & Jessy, Ciaran & Nicole, Sean & Matilda and Ayo & Jess – get some alone time as they each had a private date with their partners.
For Josh and Mimii, they weren’t quite fully alone, with a teddy bear being present at the dinner after Josh bought one on his shopping spree. The bear was affectionately named JoMii, with the official social media account for the show posting a photo of the toy with red rose.

Fans of the show also commented on the romantic gesture, with one writing on X/Twitter: “This is so cute.” “The teddy is actually cute” added a second viewer, with a third writing: “The celebrity teddy bear.”
JoMii wasn’t the only figure to get some love on social media, with both Josh and Mimii receiving plaudits for their heartfelt date as one viewer wrote: “Mimii and Josh for the win.”
“I really like how Josh is bringing Mimii’s personality out, vote for Jomii #loveisland,” added a second viewer, with a third commenting: “Seeing Ayo, Jess, Mimii and Josh stick together is a thing of beauty #LoveIsland”
“Mimii and Josh’s date. Josh is so romantic. I’m really impressed. What a man! #loveIsand” wrote another viewer, with a fifth remarking: “Josh and Mimii’s date was so cute and wholesome I love them more each episode #loveisland”

The dates also saw Joey and Jessy take the next step as they became exclusive, whilst Sean pampered Matilda in a characteristic way as the self-proclaimed Candyman prepared a platter of sweets.
The night represented one of the final opportunities for the couples to get some quiet time ahead of the grand final on Monday (July 29), though one couple will likely leave the villa before the showpiece event.
