Ayo Breaks Silence on Secret Girlfriend Rumours from Love Island 2024
‘It’s f**king boring’
Ayo Odukoya has finally addressed *those* bombshell rumours that he had a girlfriend the entire time he was in the Love Island 2024 villa. If you need a recap, a girl posted a TikTok after the show saying she had been with Ayo the entire time, and had been shocked to see her man in the villa.
The whole conversation started when a friend of the girl in question posted a TikTok video which said: “Jump in the pool fully clothed or admit your boyfriend went onto Love Island and came fourth.” The captioned added: “Without telling you too.”
Of course, the comments went crazy. The poster gave some more context, and claimed Ayo told her friend he was going on holiday with his brother, when he was actually heading to the villa. She claimed it was a “hurting situation” and said her friend was “upset at first so didn’t want to air out her business” so had only spoken out about it weeks later.
Obviously it all seemed very suspicious, and when The Tab asked the video poster for any evidence of the relationship, she claimed she had “lots of proof” but didn’t share any.
She probably didn’t share any proof at the time because Ayo has said it was all rubbish. He told Closer: “I don’t have a girlfriend. I didn’t have a girlfriend when I was [in the villa], before, after. Not yet, I should say.” Turning to Jess, he added: “This will be my girlfriend. I don’t have a girl. This is my girl.”
When asked if he had seen the TikTok when everyone was talking about it, Ayo said he had and said: “It’s a laugh. I got sent it and I was creasing.” Ayo called the girls behind the video “clout chasers”, and added: “It’s f**king boring.” Ouch.
When Jess was asked what she thought of the rumour, she said: “I think people want me to be riled up as well and it’s just like, what do you want me to do? I had a past as well before I went in the villa. I was seeing people before I went in the villa. It is what it is.”
