The week begins on a high note for Levi as he celebrates his first anniversary with McKenzie. Determined to make the day memorable, Levi plans a romantic surprise for McKenzie,
eager to show her just how much she means to him. Meanwhile, McKenzie also has a playful surprise in store for Levi, showing up at his workplace in a long coat, which she drops to reveal lingerie underneath. The couple enjoys some lighthearted fun, but little do they know, their joy will soon be overshadowed by a medical crisis.
As Levi and McKenzie continue to revel in their anniversary, trouble brews for their friends. Harper Mat, who is pregnant with Tane’s baby, attends an ultrasound appointment with her sister Dana to check on their unborn son. The appointment begins well, but things take a turn when the technician notices something concerning. After excusing herself to consult with a doctor, Harper is informed that there might be a problem with her baby’s lung lining. Worry sets in as Harper begins to fear the worst.
Unsettled by the news, Dana overhears hospital staff discussing the situation and learns that the issue might be more serious than initially suggested. But with little information to go on, all they can do is wait for further tests and a specialist’s opinion.
Levi’s romantic plans are suddenly put on hold when he’s called in to the hospital and assigned to care for Harper. As the situation becomes more urgent, Tane is also called to Northern Districts to find out more about the medical issue. Later, Levi delivers the crushing news to Harper and Tane that there is indeed a health problem with their baby, and further tests are needed to understand the full extent of the situation.
