Cash’s worst nightmare becomes reality as his investigation into Eden’s counselor, Tim, takes a dangerous turn. Cash’s initial involvement with Nerida came as he searched for dirt on Tim.
After noticing that Nerida had given Tim a glowing review, Cash suspected the counselor may have crossed boundaries and gotten too close to her. As Cash dug deeper, he began to believe
that Tim might have had a past relationship with Nerida, which would jeopardize his credibility as Eden’s counselor. However, after further investigation, Cash and Abby discovered that Nerida’s claims were exaggerated, and she had been fantasizing about a relationship that never actually existed. Still, Cash couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off, especially after Nerida ominously warned him that Eden should be on guard.
The tension escalates when Cash travels to a remote estate where Eden and Tim are staying, hoping to protect her from harm. But upon arrival, Cash and Tim are involved in an altercation, and Cash wakes up the next morning to find himself with a head injury and Tim unconscious. With no evidence to prove Cash’s innocence and no one else around, Detective Mark Townzen quickly charges Cash with assault. Cash, however, remembers being attacked by Nerida, but his word is not enough to clear his name.
As Tim remains in a coma, Abby starts to suspect that Nerida is the real culprit. She teams up with Senior Constable Rose and wears a wire to try to get a confession, but their efforts are unsuccessful. Frustrated and with no other way to prove Cash’s innocence, Cash makes a bold move. He offers to drop the charges if Nerida promises to leave Eden and Tim alone. It doesn’t take much for Nerida to agree to his terms.
Things take a turn for the better when Tim wakes up from his coma and finally confirms that Nerida was the one who attacked both him and Cash. The charges against Cash are dropped, but Nerida is still on the run. Concerned that Nerida might target Eden before the police can catch her, Cash is back in uniform and determined to track down the dangerous woman and bring her to justice.
Meanwhile, Eden is struggling with her emotions after sharing a kiss with Cash. Her feelings for him have resurfaced, leading to an argument with Tim on the night of the attack. After Tim wakes up, Eden is torn between her guilt and her lingering feelings for Cash. In a moment of confession, Eden admits to Tim that she’s still in love with Cash. Tim is furious and tells her to leave, but as Eden walks out of the hospital in tears, she doesn’t realize that Nerida is waiting for her.
In a shocking twist, Nerida seizes the opportunity to ambush Eden. After injecting her with a syringe, Eden is knocked out and finds herself trapped in an abandoned shed with Abby, tied up and helpless. As Cash scrambles to find them, the search is on to locate the missing sisters before it’s too late. Will Cash be able to save Eden and Abby in time, or will Nerida’s twisted plans succeed?
