The WNBA regular season is on hiatus due to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games

Caitlin Clark wants to break in new golf clubs

After being left off the Team USA roster for the Paris Olympics, the standout rookie has decided to make the most of her time off by focusing on her golf game and breaking in a new set of clubs.

Clark, who has become one of the most popular players in the WNBA, spoke to reporters at Indiana Fever practice about her plans for the hiatus.

“I’m going to try to play more golf over the break,”Clark said.

“I have been out there yet this year. I’ve got new clubs I need to break in and see how they swing.”

The new clubs in question are from Callaway’s Paradym Ai Smoke range, which have garnered high praise from golf experts.

Clark mentioned she received a new set of these “something smoke?” Callaways and is eager to test them out.

Reflecting on her college days, Clark shared that she and her Iowa teammates often played twilight golf during the summer.

With her break ahead, she might find new golfing companions in her Indiana Fever teammates.

“I haven’t tee’d it up with any teammates yet,” Clark noted, “but Lexie Hull and head coach Christie Sides both play a bit.Add Berger to the mix, and that’s a foursome ready to dominate any local scramble.”

Clark was surprised to learn that her teammate Grace Berger, who recently won a state championship in golf, could also join her on the links.

This new connection could offer Clark some exciting golf opportunities during her time off.

Clark promotes Kobe shoes before her release

Recently, Clark also made headlines for showcasing her first-ever pair of Nike Kobe 5 Protro player-exclusive sneakers.

The shoes, which honor both her Iowa roots and her current journey with the Indiana Fever, feature a vibrant yellow color scheme with black accents and the signature of Kobe Bryant.

These sneakers reflect Clark’s blend of past and present, as she continues to make an impact both on and off the court.

Clark is expected to release her own line of Nike shoes later this year.
