Fans Defending Caitlin Clark Amid Iowa Teammate, Close Friend Jada Gyamfi’s Controversial Live Stream

Social media is buzzing after current Iowa Hawkeyes player (and close friend of Caitlin Clark) Jada Gyamfi posted a live stream that included multiple insensitive “jokes” at the expense of Angel Reese and Brittney Griner.

The “jokes” were made by two men off-screen (one of which is Jack McCaffery, the younger brother of Clark’s boyfriend Connor McCaffery), and included “rating” Angel Reese on a scale 1-10, and making a crude reference to Griner being exchanged with Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout to end her 2022 Russian detainment.

Gyamfi didn’t make the jokes herself. But she laughed along with them and kept her live stream going in their wake.

Fans noted that just because Clark and Gyamfi are confirmed to be close friends, it doesn’t mean Clark should be implicated in Gyamfi’s unwise actions.
