A former Home And Away star discovered her brain cancer diagnosis after ignoring subtle symptoms that rapidly worsened.
Aussie actress Alea O’Shea has revealed she has been diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of 25.
The former Home And Away star shared the devastating news on her social media channels over the weekend, telling her followers that she learnt of her condition after having a biopsy on her birthday.
“This is a video I obviously thought I’d never have to make, but I’ve recently been diagnosed with brain cancer,” she began in the clip. “Saying that like, a hook, is insane. It’s been a crazy few weeks.”
O’Shea, who is now a social media star, explained that it was “limbo” waiting for her results, but now she has some “clarity” and wants to share her journey with her followers.
“I’m choosing to be open and honest about this online, because I want to live my life as normally as possible while I’m fighting this,” she said, revealing that she will soon undergo cancer treatment.
