Home and Away’s Harper and Tane Reveal the Sex of Their Baby | Home and Away Spoilers
In the upcoming episodes of Home and Away, Harper and Tane navigate a major moment in their pregnancy journey—but not without some drama along the way. Harper is preoccupied with her upcoming baby scan, an appointment she’s been avoiding mentioning to Tane because he’s been so focused on his own family issues, particularly with Perry. Despite her reservations, Harper’s friend Dana encourages her to remind Tane, as this scan is a significant one—they’re about to find out whether they’re having a boy or a girl.
The next morning, Harper heads to Tane and Perry’s house, where she finds Perry in a much better mood than usual. He tells her that he and Tane are making preparations for his father’s funeral, but Harper is still hesitant to bring up the scan. Tane, however, asks Harper for her help with the funeral arrangements, and she reluctantly agrees. Once again, she refrains from mentioning the scan to Tane.
Harper steps out to call Dana, informing her that it’ll just be the two of them heading to the hospital for the scan. But Tane overhears the conversation and is shocked that Harper hadn’t told him about the appointment sooner. He insists that he’ll be coming with her and doesn’t want to miss any part of this important moment.
On their way to Northern Districts Hospital, Harper and Tane make a detour past the Surf Club, where Harper finds Dana and explains that she would prefer the scan to be a private moment between just her and Tane. She wants it to be something special for them to share alone. However, this decision leaves Dana hurt and disappointed. She had hoped to be there for Harper, and now she’s left to anxiously wait at Salt, wondering whether she’s about to become an auntie or an uncle. Dana struggles to contain her nerves, even as Xander tries to calm her by cutting off her coffee orders.
After the scan, Harper and Tane head straight back to Saxon Avenue, holding the envelope that contains the information about their baby’s gender. They haven’t yet opened it, and they find themselves in a debate about whether to give the envelope to Dana so she can plan a gender reveal party or keep the news private. Eventually, they agree to keep it to themselves for a little while longer. They open the envelope and discover that they’re having a boy.
However, things don’t end there. Harper, realizing how much Dana wanted to be part of this moment, tells her sister that they’ve decided to keep the news of the baby’s gender between just the two of them for now. This revelation devastates Dana, who feels excluded from something that has always been a shared experience between her and Harper. As Dana confides in Xander, she expresses her frustration, saying, “It’s always been me and Harper, now I’ve been kicked off the team.”
Determined not to be left out, Dana comes up with a plan. She decides to head to the hospital herself to look at Harper’s records and find out the sex of the baby on her own. It seems like Dana isn’t giving up without a fight, and the drama surrounding the baby’s gender is far from over.
