It seems like just days ago TOWIE icon Joey Essex sauntered into the villa as the first bombshell of Love Island 2024, leaving the villa and the viewing public in a state of shock.
Has it really been weeks since Mimii Ngulube was first coupled up with Munveer Jabbal? And how has Matilda Draper not being in the villa since day one?
Anyway, although she started her Love Island journey in a couple with the dating show’s answer to a Disney prince, Mimii’s time in the villa has been tumultuous to say the least.
From her romance with Ayo Odukoya to THAT devastating Casa Amor recoupling, Mimii has been through the wringer this summer.
Who is Mimii Ngulube?
Mimii is an OG Islander currently starring on Love Island 2024. Speaking about joining the show, she said, “I think it’s been a long time coming. I was feeling quite overwhelmed, like with the whole packing and like getting prepared, but now I’m just ready to go now.”

But when Casa Amor came around Ayo ended up taking a liking to Jess Spencer and with Mimii choosing to remain loyal she ended up single, once again.
A few days later new guy Josh Oyinsan turned up and swept Mimii off her feet. Despite half the villa (Joey and Sean Stone) constantly insisting Mimii is still into Ayo – we get that the whole terrace fiasco doesn’t look great – the couple are still giving the romance a go
What is Mimii Ngulube’s job?
Before entering the villa, Mimii trained as a mental health nurse. When asked whether she will return to her profession after the villa, she said, “My plan anyway after uni was to go back and try and train to be a therapist. That’s something I’ll definitely pick up later on. I think right now I just kind of need to break from the academics, because it was just getting a lot, but I’m definitely passionate about my career choice so it’s something I’d look into again.”
