Love Island star shares sneaky Alexa trick she used to catch cheating boyfriend

Love Island’s Matilda Draper was left horrified when she realised that her partner had been cheating on her – and she found out via a very unconventional method

If you’ve got a suspicion your partner isn’t being faithful to you, then the answer could lie with your Alexa.

Love Island’s Matilda Draper, who was coupled up with Sean Stone in the villa before calling it quits after the show, admitted on a podcast that she’d done some digging when it came to another ex of hers – and she found out way more than she’d bargained for.

The bubbly brunette, who was much-loved on the ITV show for her quirky personality, shared that she was going to say “the reason why” she broke up with her ex-boyfriend – and it was all to do with her Alexa device.

Matilda said one night she and her then-partner had “an argument” and she’d gone back to her mum’s house because she didn’t want to speak to him – but he’d “gone out”.

“On my way out I was going through TikTok and I saw some random TikTok about how to listen to your Alexa voice history”, she said, but she “thought nothing of it” until the next morning when she thought she’d check it out, not expecting to find anything out of the prdinary.

Matilda then went onto the Alexa app and “listened to all the voice history” – and she was left mortified at what she heard.

She said he’d “had all girls back to our flat, about seven girls”, and she could hear girls asking for specific music. “All this stuff from like two in the morning to like 9am,” she fumed.

She then played all the evidence to her sister, saying she “felt like MI5” for discovering the secret – and then she “drove to his house” and he said he’d missed her – but she went straight in and asked: “Did you have girls back here last night?”

Immediately he denied it, but she just picked up the Alexa and said: “I’ve heard it all,” before packing her stuff up and left.

She said it was one of the “best things” that had happened to her, because she was able to move on with her life knowing she wasn’t wasting time with someone who wasn’t worthy of her. In the comments, many women joked that they were going to do the same thing to see whether their man was being faithful.

“*Buys my man an Alexa*”, one woman joked. Someone said they weren’t fond of the devices, however, sharing: “Alexa voice history is creepy like constantly being spied on NO THANKS!”

“Same thing happened to me”, another woman lamented.
