Love Island Update: Uma and Wil’s Relationship Status Revealed
After eight weeks of romance, Love Island 2024 has come to an end, with a whole host of couples making it out of the villa. While Mimii and Josh were named the winners, fans were also keen on Uma Jammeh and Wil Anderson, who had a bit of a rollercoaster during their journey. So where are things with their relationship now?
What happened for Uma and Wil in Love Island 2024?
Uma, a 23-year-old model from London, was in the summer Love Island villa from day one, and was originally coupled up with Ayo. While the pair seemed to be into each other, he eventually cooled things off in order to pursue Mimii (and we all know how that went…!)
So when 23-year-old Quantity Surveyor Wil arrived in the villa as a bombshell, Uma was ready to be wooed – and wooed she was! She and Wil then coupled up, but hit a rocky patch during Casa Amor, when his head was turned, and he snogged Lucy.
He chose to stay loyal to Uma though, during the Casa Amor recoupling, but it didn’t mean the pair were back on solid ground, and Uma was left wondering whether she could forgive him. When bombshells Reuben and Josh arrived, Reuben chose to recouple with Uma, leaving Wil single and dumped from the villa.
Only, when his text arrived to ask him to pack his bags, Uma decided she wanted to leave with him, as she had found what they were looking for. Since then, how has their relationship been?
Where is Uma and Wil’s relationship now?
During the live Love Island final, Wil and Uma revealed they had spent basically every day together since being in the villa, and had been staying in hotels in London most nights. They told host Maya Jama their plan was to move in together asap, and have been going from strength to strength ever since.
Just one glimpse at their social media profiles shows they’ve been having cute dinners out, meeting each other’s friends and family and having nights out with their Love Island family. Wil, meanwhile, also set up an elaborate hotel room to ask Uma to be his girlfriend, with Uma sharing a Story with the caption, “Guys I have just come back to the hotel to this,” along with a board with read: ‘I have found everything I want in you Uma, will you be my girlfriend?’
“First of many date nights!! Yay. So happy to be out with my blueberry 🫐 wouldn’t have wanted it to go any other way. Thank you for all the support and the lovely messages. Lots of love to absolutely everyone ❤️” Uma wrote on Instagram in July.
