The first Love Island 2024 couple have announced their split
“We agreed to go our separate ways after the final”
Love Island is over for another year, with Mimii and Josh being crowned the winners after a summer of coupling up, pies, icks, grafting and more. But, the drama continues as another couple from this season have announced their split.
Jess White and Hugo Godfroy coupled up during Casa Amor and even appeared together in the audience of the live final, but Hugo has now revealed that they have decided to go their separate ways.
Taking to his Instagram Stories, he wrote: “Just to let everyone know Jess and I agreed to go our separate ways after the final in Majorca.
“I’m hoping we can still be friends as we had a great experience together, she’s a lovely girl and I wish her all the best.” Oh, you guys!
Jess is yet to comment on the split, but she previously told Cosmopolitan UK that her and Hugo “were just going to see what happens” after leaving the villa and that they were trying to make their long distance relationship between Manchester and Southampton work.
But, days after attending the final together, Hugo was pictured at the National Reality TV Awards kissing ex Islander Charlotte Summer, who starred on season 10.
According to The Sun, they went to the award’s after-party in West London where a source said, “Hugo and Charlotte could not keep their hands off each other all night.”
“It was clear that they only had eyes for each other and didn’t care who was watching as they enjoyed a slew of snogs on the dance floor.” The drama!
