We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but ITV has confirmed there will not be a Love Island reunion for the 2024 summer season.
You mean to tell us we don’t get to see Mimii and Josh again? No final awkward conversation between Harriett and Jess? No more sweet references from Sean? We’re going to need a minute to process this information.
Why is there no Love Island reunion this year?
In a statement given to The Tab, ITV explained the usual Love Island reunion would not be going ahead this year because of the quality of the finale and the dramatic final weeks of the series.
The TV channel emphasised they were focussed on creating a high production finale for the viewers to watch and enjoy, which also included the return of the dumped islanders who ended up dumping Joey and Jessy ahead of the finale. They also mentioned they were continuing to switchup the format of the series.
Guess we’ll just have to aggressively stalk their TikToks in the hopes for more updates on their love lives, and it turns out one couple has already broken up.
